Functional Altered Vessels

Explore assembling components of wheel-thrown, altered and hand built clay. Experiment with cutting, scoring, stamping and manipulating the form to create your own personalized shapes and ideas. Additions using wire cutters, molds, stamps and thick slips will be demonstrated. The focus is on making pots which are meaningful to the individual maker's needs with an emphasis on function and aesthetics. There will be class and individual discussions and critiques.
