Do you have a passion for instructing adults?  Are you responsible for delivering training, workshops, or leading professional development in your workplace?  Are you currently or anticipating teaching in a post-secondary environment and wish to hone your instructional skills?  If so, the Adult and Higher Education Instructor Certificate, offered fully online, is designed for you.

Gain a new skill set

The Adult & Higher Education Instructor Certificate, offered fully online, can be completed in 12 months of full-time study or in various part-time pathways.

We designed this certificate to prepare you to instruct in an adult education, workplace or post-secondary environment.  The courses within this program allow you to integrate technology into lessons, engage learners and create learning environments to help your learners succeed.  You will also have the opportunity to take a course on Indigenization to explore contemporary and historically significant documents such as the Calls to Action, Truth and Reconciliation Report and United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

In your final course you will explore topics that are meaningful to you and relevant to your professional field through your choice of Capstone project.

Admission Requirements

An undergraduate degree in any discipline from an accredited institution

OR

A two year diploma or equivalent training from an accredited institution in any discipline

OR

Provincial Trades Certificate or Red Seal Journeyperson’s Certificate.

*While the minimum admission requirement is a post-secondary level diploma, it is recommended to have a Bachelor’s Degree due to the research component in some of the courses.

  • ADHE 404 Research Integration Capstone, February 10 – April 24
