Red Deer College is part of an agreement with a number of colleges and universities in Alberta called the NEOS consortium. All of the NEOS libraries have agreed to share their library collections and their catalogue.

When you search using the library catalogue, you have the option of searching everything held in all NEOS libraries, or of restricting your search to those items belonging to Red Deer College. If you find a book at another NEOS library and would like to read it, you can usually request it and it will be delivered to the library at Red Deer College in three to five working days.

You can search for more than books in the NEOS Library Catalogue. It has a record for each of the items that the NEOS libraries own, including:

• Books
• Journals
• Newspapers and magazines
• Slides and video recordings
• Music and musical scores
• Electronic resources, such as electronic journals and electronic books

Tip: You won't find individual journal or magazine articles in the Library Catalogue. You find them by using an article database.
