Using Find It

Find It is a piece of software that helps you figure out whether or not the article you're interested in is available at the library. When you click on this button in your list of citations, a new window will appear:

1. Find It Online

Tells you whether the article you want is available in another article database:

* Click on the database name, if available
* The new database will open in a new window
* Select the Volume & Issue that your article is in
* Find your article from the results

2. Find It in the Catalogue

If the article is NOT available in another article database, the Find It software checks to see whether the article you want is available in print in our Library:

* Click on NEOS Library Catalogue
* Check for availability in Red Deer College Library (RED_DEER_C)
* Be sure that we have the Volume & Issue you need
* Jot down the Call Number
* Find your article in the Periodicals section of the Library

3. Find It at Another Library

If the article is NOT available in another article database and NOT available in print in our Library, this option allows you to request the article via Interlibrary Loan:

* Click on Interlibrary Loan to request the article
* Enter your 13-digit Library Barcode Number & PIN (if you don't know these numbers check with the library's Information or Circulation Desk)
* Most articles arrive in 3-5 business days
